Basic Human Needs

One of the five social issues to be addressed b FCC Norman and its Social Justice Committee

Basic human needs encompass the fundamental resources and support that people require to survive and live a stable and dignified life. These needs include food, water, shelter, clothing, access to healthcare, and a stable environment. These issues are interconnected: for example, housing costs directly impact economic freedom and food security for families. We recognize that lasting change in Norman requires both immediate assistance and advocacy for systemic reform in local city governance and goals, and that our overall strength and success as a community depends on the well being of all our citizens.
